Bumps on the Journey
Understanding Symptoms That Occur On The Road Back To Health

A significant area of confusion for patients
seeking health renewal is understanding the meaning of the
symptoms, which can accompany the beginning of a rejuvenation program. Failing
to properly understand symptoms frequently makes the difference between
the person who successfully completes a health building program and
enjoys a renewal of health, versus one who abandons their efforts and
continues on a downward spiral into greater disease.
After
experiencing years of poor health, the person making positive changes
that allow the body to increase its vitality must allow for a
transitional period. Just as one does not develop chronic illness
overnight, neither does one become well instantly either.
Our
quick fix society has come to expect immediate relief from drugs,
potions, pills, and other treatments obtained from physicians and
pharmacies. Many drugs, herbal preparations, special 'energy' aids,
tonics, etc. are promoted under the guise of 'instant relief'. Relief? Perhaps very briefly. This
temporary relief frequently comes at a high price, paid for by a
continued deterioration of health. Drugs, pills, and potions work
primarily by stimulation and/or suppression of normal body functions
all of which drain the body's energies. Those desiring health will want
to make changes that improve the body's vitality and its ability to
perform cellular rehabilitation without chasing after elusive cures
that operate through stimulation and depression of the body's systems.
