Preface
The
human body is a collection of interdependent, interrelated, systems.
The Gastrointestinal Tract is just one of these players. Its role,
however, in maintaining and renewing the body, cannot be
overemphasized. All of the body's systems rely on it for the
transformation of foodstuffs into energy, repair of old tissues and the
creation of new cells throughout the body.
The
Gastrointestinal Tract takes the most mistreatment of any of the body
systems, due to our abusive living and eating habits. These abuses then
are transformed Into digestive problems and a wide host of diseases
that stem from gastrointestinal malfunction, throughout the human
organism.
Fortunately, the
Gastrointestinal Tract, if not abused for too long a period, is
forgiving. If we are willing to learn and incorporate living habits
that support good GI health, significant improvements in health and
vitality are often forthcoming. |
